Natural ways to get rid of tartar

Tartar is a yellowish – brown calcified material formed on the surface of teeth. The hardened mineral deposits of the saliva, bacterial debris and plaque mix together and form this unattractive teeth treat. Chalky substance called tartar is caused due to the continuous accumulation of minerals from saliva on the teeth.

Tartar that isn’t treated for a long time causes bad breath, yellowing and browning of the teeth. Tartar is harmful as it is hard and porous, it causes gum diseases, cavities in the teeth and also loss of teeth. If it is not removed, it keeps on accumulating and calcifying. If plaque is not cleared from the teeth, it hardens into tartar, which causes damage to the enamel and increases the risk of gum disease. Tartar cannot be easily removed and often requires professional help. Dentists may need to remove tartar using various instruments by scaling. The process requires a lot of patience and is very painful, if the tartar has been accumulated over the years and has affected the gum line. However you can prevent your teeth with time and with very cheap, everyday things you already have at home.
